  1. When overwhelmed, simply recover by concentrating on one thing at a time. Do you know why a lion tamer holds up a stool to a lion’s face to control it? It’s because the lion becomes overwhelmed trying to concentrate on all four protruding legs–it doesn’t know which one to focus on. This overwhelming effect on the lion causes it to freeze on the spot. So when we, too, get overwhelmed and freeze, simply make personal progress by focusing on one thing at a time and taking the appropriate action. When you notice others overwhelmed, help them to attain singular concentration and they’ll begin to or resume taking action. And yes, once you take action to get in motion, it is much easier to stay in motion.
